What can I expect out of this qualification?
The MMCT degree combines a substantive collaborative research project and an individual research dissertation in the relevant field combined with advanced-level tuition in academic research and vocational skills. Graduates will have advanced knowledge, understanding and creative skills in at least one of the subject areas offered for the degree. They will understand and be able to reflect upon and critically analyse creative theory and to apply research methods in creative practice and technologies to engage in supervised research in the area of their chosen discipline. Graduates will be prepared to study at higher levels or to pursue creative careers in a wide range of commercial industries and public organisations, both nationally and internationally. Research outputs with a creative focus are accompanied by theoretical, methodological and technical training appropriate to professional careers and postgraduate study. Graduates will be able to carry out independent, original research and will have advanced creative research skills, professional aptitude and advanced expertise in creative technologies. Graduates will be prepared for study and research at higher levels or to pursue creative and managerial careers in a wide range of commercial industries and public organisations, both nationally and internationally.
