What can I expect out of this qualification?
Graduates will demonstrate an in-depth and breadth of knowledge and practical skills for employment as an Engineering Technologist within a specialist area of their chosen major of Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. Graduates will have the ability to apply analytical skills and knowledge of technological principles and physical processes to solve broadly defined engineering problems. Entry Requirements
Minimum requirements
University Entrance - NCEA Level 3 including three subjects at level 3 including - Physics with a minimum of 14 credits - Calculus with a minimum of 14 credits, and - one other subject from the list of approved subjects and Literacy - 10 credits at Level 2 or above, made up of 5 credits in reading, 5 credits in writing and Numeracy - 10 credits at Level 1 or above -specified achievement standards, or unit standards 26623, 26626, 26627-. OR Equivalent academic qualifications which may include University Bursary with 45 per cent or more in both Physics and Calculus or Algebra - equivalent Cambridge score, equivalent International Baccalaureate Applicants seeking admission into the Asset Management Degree Apprenticeship will also be required to be in suitable employment arrangements. Employment suitability will be determined by the provider in consultation with the workplace and learner.
