What can I expect out of this qualification?
Graduates will demonstrate the capacity to pursue a career as independent practitioners within a chosen studio area and to exhibit professional judgement in relation to the production of their own work within the changing contexts of the visual arts in the bicultural environment of Aotearoa/New Zealand and the broader international realm. They will have a practical and conceptual understanding of a broad range of studio practices in addition to highly developed skills in a studio area in which they will be ready to pursue further professional, educational or scholarly activities. They will be ready to engage with the professional networks of their field of practice. They will also have a wide range of transferable skills which will enable them to enter other areas of industry and employment. Demonstrate appropriate ability in art and scholarship by submission of portfolio, and Sixth Form Cert. grade 4 or better in English, Art History or similar subject, or equivalent NCEA qualifications (15 credits or more at Level 2 NCEA), or equivalent
