What can I expect out of this qualification?
The core aim of the Bachelor of Occupational Therapy programme is to graduate ākonga who fulfil the requirements for registration as an occupational therapist in Aotearoa New Zealand. Graduates will be able to competently and confidently support people and whānau to have a life they value through active participation in occupation and inclusion in society. The blended, campus-based delivery will provide education for those who prefer and can access traditional on-campus study. The work augmented delivery will provide access for ākonga who may be situated in remote/rural areas where there may be barriers to accessing tertiary education. The aim of the work augmented pathway is to enhance diversity in the profession and boost the numbers of regionally and culturally relevant occupational therapists

Entry Requirements
Minimum requirements
Minimum entry requirements NCEA Level 3 with three subjects at L3 or above with at least 14 credits per subject, and Numeracy and Literacy requirements: OR A qualification at L4 on the NZQCF equaling 60 credits or more completed within one year; OR University Study - successful completion of courses equating to 50 % of first year student workload completed within one year Work Augmented Delivery - additional requirement to be engaged in appropriate work for a minimum of 15 hours per week.
