About the course

What can I expect out of this qualification?

To provide undergraduate nursing education that produces graduates with a Bachelor of Nursing, which meets:

* the Institutes of Technology Polytechnics (ITP) Quality academic standards for a degree, and
* the Nursing Council of New Zealand Competencies for the Registered Nurse scope of practice.

This includes a pathway for registered nurses to gain a Bachelor of Nursing and for nurses with overseas registration to meet Nursing Council of New Zealand competencies for registered nurses.

Entry Requirements

Minimum requirements

University Entrance - NCEA Level 3 including 14 credits in biology AND/OR chemistry, 14 credits in English OR an English rich subject, 14 credits in one other approved subject, and remaining credits may come from either achievement or unit standards. All applicants who are accepted must have a First Aid Certificate, make a health declaration and declare any learning issues and criminal convictions.
