What can I expect out of this qualification?
Graduates of this programme will have the knowledge and skills developed through theoretical courses, scholarly inquiry, and clinical practice experiences to work autonomously in advanced nursing practice. They will be eligible to apply to the Nursing Council of New Zealand to become a Nurse Practitioner.

Entry Requirements
Minimum requirements
A recognised undergraduate Nursing degree, a current Registered Nurse practicing certificate from the Nursing Council of New Zealand|Te Kaunihere Tapuhi o Aotearoa; and three years equivalent full-time practice as a Registered Nurse in the area in which they intend to prescribe. At least one year of practice must be in New Zealand and have access to an approved clinical placement with mentorship by a Nurse Practitioner or Medical Practitioner.
