What can I expect out of this qualification?

Graduates with the BTchLn will have pursued a systematic and coherent introduction to a body of knowledge, to the underlying principles and concepts, to problem solving and associated basic techniques of self-directed work and learning relating to learning to teach at an undergraduate level. The qualification will additionally equip students with the practical skills and techniques needed to apply their knowledge effectively in a professional context, and they will be eligible to apply for registration with the professional body, The Teaching Council of New Zealand, and assume a position as a teacher in a school, centre or Kura.
