What can I expect out of this qualification?
Graduates of the PGDipYCL will be able to: (a) critically evaluate the suitability of diverse forms of leadership in relation to their personal professional context, (b) understand and navigate the complexities of community engagement and service learning, (c) evaluate a local youth or community situation in light of global social challenges as addressed in the UN Sustainable Development Goals, (d) consider diverse cultural approaches to leadership, youth and community through the lens of matauranga Maori, (e) engage with people and their communities with confidence and competence with consideration of Te Tiriti o Waitangi articles. (f) gain advanced knowledge and understanding in a focus area of study.
