About the course
What can I expect out of this qualification?
Holders of this qualification will have a blend of traditional humanities-related skills and twenty first century applied ones. They will have an understanding of the moral and ethical issues surrounding technologies and the digital world, the ability to write clear, concise prose and an understanding of the technical constraints imposed by information systems. They will be comfortable using and critically assessing a range of technologies and the ability to apply those skills to new technologies as they encounter them. They will be suited to work in all new media and digital industries, but especially ones requiring a blend of analytical and technical skills. They would be suitable for work in research, relationship management, business analysis and project management in the cultural heritage sector, digital archiving and the creative sectors. They will be particularly suited to policy analysis position related to technology and culture and position that require communication across technical and non-technical teams. One compulsory foundation in digital methods courses plus a further course to be chosen from a schedule, including the option of a digitally-oriented internship course.
