What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this qualification is to provide graduates with knowledge and skills related to Taonga Puoro within the context of marae and community settings. Graduates also gain an understanding of how Taonga Puoro relates to te taiao and wellbeing.
The qualification meets the need of whānau, hapū, iwi and hapori who are wanting to grow capacity, capability and knowledge within their communities of the tikanga and mātauranga of Taonga Puoro.
Graduates of this qualification will be able to apply knowledge of fundamental concepts in relation to Taonga Puoro and how they relate to te taiao, wellbeing, whānau, hapū, iwi, marae and communities.
