Entry requirements

- Must be employed in a health care or support role at the time of enrolment
- Must be 17 years of age or older at the time of enrolment
- All learners will sign a Training Agreement upon enrolment as part of the admission process

What can I expect out of this qualification?

This micro-credential aims to upskill learners in foundational support roles, enhancing their competence in observing and responding to changes in health, understanding professional and ethical behaviours, recognising vulnerability and abuse, and applying Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles in a healthcare setting.

The development of this micro-credential responds to the strategic need to enhance accessibility to specific training that supports the varying roles within healthcare settings.
