Entry requirements

It is expected that providers refer to the below requirements when developing programme entry requirements
- It would be expected that ākonga/learners for this micro-credential will be involved with the horticulture industry as either a student, grower, horticulture advisor, or auditor.
- Ākonga/Learners require sufficient levels of literacy and numeracy to allow them to read and understand course material and resources, and complete assessment tasks.
- Providers will support ākonga/learners during delivery to ensure they have the level of literacy and numeracy required.
- For ākonga/learners who do not have English as their first language, the level of English language skills required is equivalent to an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 5 in General or Academic, with no band score lower than 5.

What can I expect out of this qualification?

This micro-credential has been developed to upskill horticulture ākonga/learners' awareness of freshwater values and uses and the potential risks posed by horticultural production systems on values and uses. It is aimed at growers, horticulture advisors, auditors, and horticulture ākonga/learners.
