Prospective learners must - be employed or have access to a port operations environment. - be 16 years or older. - Be physically fit to undertake learning and assessment required by each unit component - Have support from an employer to complete the micro-credential and its associated training and assessment in the workplace

What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this micro-credential is to equip current workers and those aiming to enter the port and stevedoring industry with the necessary knowledge and competence to work safely in various port operations. Graduates will be able to demonstrate knowledge of factors impacting their wellbeing, work performance and safety. The port industry will benefit from having employees furthering a safety-conscious workforce within the port and stevedoring sectors in New Zealand.
