All applicants will be required to provide evidence showing intermediate knowledge and skills to study at this level. Applicants will be asked to:
- Provide evidence of proficiency (written and verbal).
- Complete a reo Māori diagnostic test.
About the course
What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this micro-credential is to offer intermediate speakers of te reo Māori opportunities to develop confidence and accelerate proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing te reo Māori, shaped through a te ao Māori lens. This micro-credential achieves this by focusing ākonga on further developing their proficiency in common greetings, general conversation skills and tautohetohe. Graduates will contribute to an overall increase in the number of highly proficient reo Māori speakers across Aotearoa.
