Admission criteria:

All students, irrespective of faith tradition or denomination are welcome to apply to study with us to prepare for working within a Christian faith-based context.

Prospective students will need a Level 5 qualification or evidence of equivalent work experience and learning in a relevant area and can demonstrate the necessary foundational knowledge and skills to succeed at this level.

What can I expect out of this qualification?

The purpose of this micro-credential is to provide specialised training and development for leaders and managers of faith-based organisations in Aotearoa New Zealand. The course aims to enhance their skills, knowledge, and capabilities in effectively leading and managing these organisations.

The micro-credential is designed to cater to both existing leaders and managers in faith-based organisations who wish to further develop their skills, as well as aspiring leaders who seek to gain the necessary knowledge and competencies to lead such organisations in the future.

The course covers various aspects relevant to faith-based organisations, including but not limited to parishes, dioceses, faith-based schools, healthcare facilities, and other related organisations and groups. Participants can expect to learn about effective leadership practices, strategic planning, organisational development, governance, ethical considerations, community engagement, and other relevant topics specific to faith-based contexts.

By completing this micro-credential, participants can expect to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to sustain and develop faith-based organisations effectively. They will be equipped with leadership and management strategies that align with the values, principles, and unique challenges faced by these organisations in Aotearoa New Zealand.
