Onshore International students must have English language competence to undertake this programme which is taught and assessed in English. International students are required to have an International English Language Test System (IELTS) General or Academic score of 5.0 with no band score lower than 5.0 or equivalent.

What can I expect out of this qualification?
The aim of this micro-credential is to develop professional waiter knowledge and skills in customer service for food and beverage delivery in a restaurant environment. The target student market for this micro-credential will be primarily for students, whether domestic or international [onshore], who:
- have left high school and seeking entry level employment skills in hospitality.
- have limited work experience with working in restaurants in the New Zealand hospitality sector, or
- have related experience, or currently working in restaurant.
- are planning to pursue a career in hospitality.
