What can I expect out of this qualification?
This qualification is intended to provide a pathway into the Combined Services or similar type organisations to work with whānau, hapū, iwi and hapori.
Graduates of this qualification will be culturally aware of the diverse communities that make up New Zealand society and know the importance of being grounded in hauora (physical, mental and emotional wellbeing) for their roles.

Minimum requirements
To enter this programme, tauira must be: * 17 years or older * A New Zealand citizen * A New Zealand permanent resident currently living in New Zealand * An Australian citizen currently living in New Zealand * An Australian permanent resident wo has a returning residents visa and is currently living in New Zealand * Made aware of the entry requirements into the New Zealand Police * Made aware of the demands of the programme, and complete a diagnostic pre-entry literacy and numeracy assessment to identify learning support requirements * Able to demonstrate the ability to study at level 4 through previous educational and/or vocational experiences Delivery Mode Type - Distance and Blended Study Hours - distance delivery Total hours per week - 33.33 Kaiako directed Learning hours - 10 per week Activity directed learning hours - 23.33 per week Total Study hours - 600 Kaiako directed - 180 Activity directed - 420
