About the course

What can I expect out of this qualification?

The aim of this micro-credential is to provide learners the fundamentals of cloud computing, including its technical aspects, benefits, applications, and business models with a focus of administrating a cloud environment. Learners will also explore the impact on IT service management, risks, and cultural considerations informed by Treaty of Waitangi and Māori cultural practices.

The target market for this course is individuals who are interested in cloud infrastructure management using Microsoft Azure.

Minimum requirements

The entry requirements for this micro-credential are: Academic Entry Requirements: There are no compulsory academic entry requirements. However, it is recommended that learners enrolling in this course have a foundational understanding of cybersecurity concepts such as cybersecurity, networking, and operating systems. CompTIA Security+ certification is recommended (not compulsory) as a prerequisite, or ability to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and experience. English Language Entry Requirements: Learners whose first language is not English must provide evidence of competency in English language equivalent to IELTS Academic score of 6 with no band score lower than 5.5.
