Entry requirements

Entry is open with the following requirements:
Domestic Applicants:
A New Zealand or Australian citizen or permanent resident and aged 17 years or over.
International Applicants:
If English is not your first language, evidence of competency in English is required.
Achievement of NCEA Level 3 and met New Zealand University requirements, OR English proficiency of an IELTS score of 6 with no band less than 5.5 or Pearson Test of English score of 50 with no band score lower than 42 AND English proficiency outcome needs to have been achieved in the last two years before enrolment and in one sitting.

What can I expect out of this qualification?

The purpose of this micro-credential is to explore the characteristics of wine varieties. Learners will apply the appropriate terminology to discuss wine tasting and the appropriate food pairing accompaniment.
This micro credential is designed to enhance the employability of people seeking work in licenced premises, and to upskill new and existing staff in the tourism and hospitality sector.
