The Graduate Certificate in Information Technology is designed as a vehicle/medium for graduates to broaden or deepen skills or knowledge already gained in their own domain of study in an undergraduate programme; as bridging programmes for graduates developing educational, professional or vocational knowledge in a new but complementary discipline, profession or subject area.

Entry Requirements
Minimum requirements
Minimum entry requirements for students who wish to enrol in these graduate certificates or graduate diploma are an undergraduate degree qualification in computing or a related discipline or degree-equivalent practical, professional or scholarly experience. Applicants will be engaged in a Path of Study process, which provides guidance with course selection and ensures learners have the required prerequisite knowledge. International Learners In addition to meeting the entry criteria or equivalent as outlined as above, the following criterion also applies: Overall Academic IELTS 6.0 with no individual band score lower than 5.5 (achieved in one test completed in the last two years), or acceptable alternative evidence of the required IELTS (see Programme Approval, Recognition, and Accreditation Rules 2022, Appendix A: Internationally Recognised English Proficiency Outcomes for International Students https://www2.nzqa.govt.nz/about-us/rules-fees-policies/nzqa-rules/approval-recognitionand-accreditation/#e10518_heading1).
