About the course
What can I expect out of this qualification?
Murihiku Regeneration has developed a whānau-centred approach for ākonga/rangatahi making the transition from adolescence to adult life. This programme puts rangatahi/whānau at the centre - building an understanding of who they are, their aspirations, values and vision, and their context - so that rangatahi and pakeke can create a plan for their pathway to adult life that is unique to them. The programme is also relevant for adults seeking a second chance in education.
The aims of the Kai Tū- Pathway Programme are for rangitahi and second-chance (pakeke) learners to:
- Research and understand their background, identity and culture.
- Develop a coherent sense of work and life direction.
- Understand the education and training pathway needed to achieve their preferred work and life direction
- Develop the ability to present their pathway plan to whanau, family and other supports
- Progress to undertake key training required for their pathway
