Entry requirements
Applicants must have the legal right to study in New Zealand and either:
1. have completed the Level 4 Certificate in Technology Product Development Training Essentials (Level 4) or;
2. provide evidence of an equivalent qualification and/or experience.
All applicants must have a level of English sufficient to be able to study at this level.
Applications will be reviewed by MRHQ to ensure applicants have the foundation skills required for success. Unsuccessful applicants will be referred to an appropriate alternative course and invited to apply again once they have completed that course. Please note the entry requirement is important as learners need to have certain skills / knowledge before they can specialise in a specific area. For instance, to become an artificial intelligence developer, learners must have skills and knowledge as a developer. One of the ways they can do this is by completing the Level 4 Certificate in Technology Product Development or they may be working in the industry as a software developer or may have completed other relevant qualifications.

What can I expect out of this qualification?
The primary purpose of this micro-credential is to provide learners with a real-world learning opportunity, in a simulated work environment, to enable them to perform entry-level roles in the context of their practice such as software developers, user experience designers, business analysts, digital media analysts or data analysts.
This micro-credential will provide learners with a specific blend of knowledge, technical skills, experience and work-ready interpersonal skills needed to perform roles within the field of digital technology product solutions. Learners will be able to gain new knowledge relevant to the context of their practice and also apply these newly acquired skills by applying the skills in an industry-based project. This micro-credential is intended to provide learners with the skills that are most relevant and sought after by employers likely to hire for those roles.
