What can I expect out of this qualification?

The purpose of this qualification is to provide Aotearoa New Zealand with people who have the skills, knowledge and attributes to create, produce, and distribute relevant content for an audience on a variety of media platforms.

Graduates will be able to work in a range of media environments, both independently and collaboratively.

Graduates will have the attributes necessary to contribute to bi- and multi-cultural communities in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Entry Criteria NCEA level 2 or Equivalent IELTS 6.0 for applicants who s first language is not English or te reo Maori Special admission available for applicants who do not meet the entry criteria. Successful applicants will be chosen following a selection interview. The interview is conducted by the Programme Co-ordinator or their delegate and will consider: Applicant s voice suitability for effective communication Interpersonal communication skills Interest in current affairs and the media
