About the course

What can I expect out of this qualification?

The proposed micro-credential will provide the skills and capabilities that enable impactful research activities of emerging and early-career researchers, and removes barriers they experience, including challenges around journal selection, tailoring the manuscript for the specific
journal, the submission process, and wider dissemination of research. Graduates of the Generating High-impact Academic Publications Micro-credential will be able to evaluate and critique academic research, build knowledge of a range of academic journals, draft and review a research manuscript, and submit the manuscript for peer-reviewed publication. Ākonga will develop critical research writing techniques that will allow them to publish their research in high-impact journals and develop a platform for raising awareness of their research
outside of academia.
