Entry requirements

To be eligible for entry, trainees can be individuals, unemployed or in employment or engaging with work related to the requirement for lifting equipment inspection and proof loading.

Applicants should demonstrate an ability to succeed in tertiary study shown by the completion of any of the following qualifications or courses of study:

* NCEA Level 1 Literacy requirements
* Overseas crane inspection courses
* Overseas rigging inspection courses
* Workplace certificates of competency for lifting / rigging inspections.

About the course

What can I expect out of this qualification?

The purpose of this micro-credential is to provide learners with the skills and knowledge to inspect and proof load lifting and rigging equipment within New Zealand. It is suitable for those in the crane, scaffolding and access, manufacturing and construction industries.

On successful completion of the Micro-credential graduates will be capable of working with no supervision whilst carrying out visual inspection and proof loading to industry standards.
