What can I expect out of this qualification?

The purpose of the Bachelor of Business is to provide a contemporary programme of study for students who wish to pursue a career in business across a diverse range of industries and in one or more of the following disciplines: Accounting, Marketing, Facilities Management, Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Tourism and Hospitality Management, and Healthcare Management. The programme aims to: * Develop students to become problem-solving professionals who can meet the demands of businesses and adapt to a fast-changing world. * Provide a high-quality education that incorporates Aotearoa New Zealand's culture and history. * Provide students with opportunities to liaise with the business community through internships and industry-based projects to develop specialist and transferrable skills. * Produce graduates who are critical thinkers, lifelong learners and meaningful contributors to organisations, economies and societies.

Entry Requirements

Minimum requirements

A candidate for admission to this programme of study shall: (a) (i) have a minimum of 14 NCEA credits in each of three subjects at Level 3, and a minimum of 14 numeracy credits at Level 1 or higher and a minimum of 8 literacy credits at Level 2 or higher; or (ii) have successfully undertaken tertiary study; or (iii) hold an equivalent overseas qualification; and (b) have attained the age of 17 years; and (c) have an English level equivalent to IELTS (Academic) 6.0 (with no band less than 5.5) / TOEFL iBT 60 (with a writing score of 18) / PToE academic score of 50 with no band lower than 42 / NZCEL (Academic) (Level 4); Or (d) gain approval under Admission Regulation 1.3: Special Admission.
