What can I expect out of this qualification?

Graduates will have advanced creative knowledge, skills and applications in composition, production design and technical applications to advance and promote the professional status of new Māori works and performance to, and for, diverse audiences, sectors and settings at local, regional, national and international levels.

Entry Requirements

Minimum requirements

Applicants that are 18 years or older at enrolment, and; a) have demonstrated suitability and capability in Maori Performance, or Maori Art forms at Level 7; and, b) a New Zealand Level 6 diploma in Creative Arts for Maori/Non-Maori Performance or equivalent; c) demonstrated commitment to uphold the kaupapa of Takitimu; and, d) have provided a performance portfolio demonstrating evidence of creative practice and process; and, e) have provided a curriculum vitae outlining educational and employment achievements. Special Admission Special admission may be granted at the discretion of the Academic Director or designated nominee by the Quality Academic Group. Such applicants may be required to successfully complete a bridging course paper/s as a condition of entry into the programme.
