There are no specific entry requirements provided that people have functional English literacy and numeracy. It is an advantage to have had experience at a management or advisory level with some of it being in the security industry or to be engaged in security related work.

The aim of this micro-credential is to provide the security industry with individuals who have introductory knowledge of the identification, analysis and management of security risks, security operational requirements, and the standards and legislation that apply to security consultants in New Zealand
