What can I expect out of this qualification?

The GDAppIT is an applied vocational qualification that focuses on equipping students with the skills to analyse, design, develop, implement and maintain information systems across a variety of industries and business types. The programme has been developed to address the rapid changes in the information technology industry and the global shortage of skilled IT professionals.
Students from a range of backgrounds, including domestic and international graduates and IT professionals developing a new career pathway and wishing to upskill, will benefit from the knowledge and skills developed in GDAppIT. This qualification will suit a range of careers in the rapidly expanding and diversifying Information Technology industry.
The combination of core modules and specialist vocational skills will enable students to graduate as highly competent Database Administrators or Database Developers or Network Engineers or Software Engineers or Web Developers. They may also be able to choose careers as IT Project Managers, IT Managers or Network and Cyber Security professionals.
