The New Zealand Certificate in Irrigation Installation (Level 3) [Ref: 3761] or equivalent skills and knowledge, is a pre-requisite for entry to this qualification.

About the course

What can I expect out of this qualification?

The purpose of this qualification is to provide the irrigation sector with people who have the skills and knowledge to lead the installation, maintenance and service of irrigation plant and machinery.

Irrigators will benefit through being able to obtain well installed regulatory compliant irrigation systems which will contribute to 'irrigation good management practice' within the regulatory frameworks that underpin water use.

This qualification is designed for people working in the irrigation industry who have completed the New Zealand Certificate in Irrigation Installation (Level 3) and may be used for apprentice training.

Graduates will be able to work unsupervised as competent irrigation system engineers.
