What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this qualification is to provide New Zealand workplaces with people who have the knowledge, skills, and attributes to lead, develop, influence, implement and integrate effective workplace health and safety systems across business entities and thereby contribute to healthy and safe work environments in New Zealand.
Graduates of this qualification will benefit New Zealand workplaces, the community, workers and their whānau by leading and contributing to the effective design, implementation and maintenance of healthy, safe and productive work environments.
This qualification is intended for people planning a career as a health and safety professional, and for individuals who are entering or already working in a health and safety management role at an influential level within an organisation.

Minimum requirements
All applicants must: Have evidence of successful completion of the New Zealand Certificate in Workplace Health and Safety Practice (Level 4) or have equivalent current knowledge and skills as assessed at interview All applicants must have a level of English sufficient to be able to study at this level. Applicants for whom English is not a first language must have an IELTS Academic score of 6 with no band score lower than 5.5; or an accepted international equivalence.
