What can I expect out of this qualification?
This qualification will provide individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to operate independently, supervise others and work with stakeholders across the sport, recreation and exercise industries.
Graduates will be able to operate within a framework of health and wellness in relation to individual, group and community needs.
Graduates can apply their skills within the sport, recreation and exercise industries to contribute to the cultural, social and economic wellbeing of Aotearoa New Zealand.

Minimum requirements
New Zealand Certificate in Exercise (Level 4) or equivalent and evidence of suitability based on interview, health screening, safety check* (where required) and referee reports. International: IELTS 5.5 (no band lower than 5.0) or equivalent. *Safety Check: with the introduction of the Vulnerable Children s Act (2014), all vocational trainees who may work with children during the course of their study must be safety checked. Safety checking includes: reference checking, work history
