About the course

What can I expect out of this qualification?

The general aim of the proposed postgraduate programmes is to enable IT practitioners and recent IT graduates to gain internationally recognised skills and knowledge in applied information technology. They will be able to use their enhanced knowledge, skills and capabilities to obtain employment in positions of responsibility that relate to the electives they choose, thus helping to meet the strong demand from government, industry and the wider community for ICT expertise. Some may choose to undertake further studies.
The specific aim of the Master's Degree is to enable students to undertake an advanced programme of study involving the application of knowledge about information technology, and combining coursework with research in order to prepare for further study or to obtain a more senior position in their employment.

Minimum requirements

General Academic Admission Candidates are required to have a bachelor degree in Computing or Information Technology or a related subject area, with a grade average of B or better in the final year of full-time study, or equivalent in part-time study; or A Postgraduate Diploma in Computing or Information Technology or a related subject area, with a grade average of B or better; or An equivalent qualification as considered by the Centre s Postgraduate Programme Committee.
