What can I expect out of this qualification?

This qualification will provide New Zealand with graduates who can assist with the development of communities through sport and recreation initiatives, using a range of support, advisory and facilitation skills.

Graduates can operate independently at local, regional, or national level.

Graduates will contribute to the cultural, social and economic wellbeing of Aotearoa New Zealand.

Entry Requirements

Minimum requirements

Prospective learners must be at least 18 years old, and actively engaged with a sporting or recreational organisation by contributing towards the organisations goals and objectives. They must have experience of at least three seasons with a sporting or recreational organisation. Applicants will participate in an interview to determine the readiness of the person for the programme. Enrolment is subject to the approval of the academic manager.
