What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this qualification is to provide New Zealand workplaces with people that have the skills, knowledge, and attributes to promote, monitor, and improve health and safety practices.
Graduates will have in-depth skills, knowledge, and attributes of health and safety practice in the workplace. Graduates may apply these skills in supervisory roles across a wide range of fields.
Graduates will benefit New Zealand workplaces, the community, and their whānau by promoting, and contributing to, health and safety in the workplace.
This qualification is designed for people who have, or are intending to have a workplace health and safety function as part of their primary job role.

Entry Requirements
Minimum requirements
All applicants must: hold NCEA (Level 2) and have suitable work/industry experience or have successfully completed New Zealand Certificate in Workplace Health and Safety Practice (Level 3) or demonstrate equivalent skills and knowledge. English language requirements All applicants must have a level of English sufficient to be able to study at this level. Those students whose first language is not English, must have an IELTS Academic score of 5.5 with no band score lower than 5; or an accepted international equivalence or a qualification considered equivalent to the above.
