About the course

What can I expect out of this qualification?

The purpose of this qualification is to provide Māori business entities with people who are capable of managing a broad range of supervisory tasks including people and projects.
Graduates of this qualification will benefit Māori business entities and provide whānau, hapū, iwi, hapori, and New Zealand business entities with people (Māori and non-Māori) who understand the importance of leadership and management in both business and cultural contexts.
Graduates of this qualification will be capable of supporting business operations in bi- and multi-cultural environments.

Minimum requirements

* Students must be over 16 years of age * Students must have NCEA Level 2, or * equivalent NZ Certificate at (Level 2), or * evidence of literacy and numeracy abilities equivalent to NCEA (Level 2) * It is recommended that learners have a minimum of one year's work experience. Provisional Entry * Students who have attained the age of 20 years and do not hold the minimum entry requirements for a programme will be eligible to be enrolled as a student where their previous educational, work or life experience indicates they have a reasonable likelihood of success. * Students who have not attained the age of 20 years and do not hold the required minimum entry requirements for a programme may also be eligible to enrol in exceptional circumstances. Such decisions will be made by the Business Programme Manager.
