What can I expect out of this qualification?
The qualification is designed to provide the beauty sector with therapists who have the skills and knowledge to critically analyse clients' needs and provide advanced beauty services.
This qualification is intended for learners who have prior learning or experience as a beauty therapist to equip them with the skills and knowledge to successfully provide advanced beauty services and manage the operations of a client base or small beauty therapy business.
The beauty sector will benefit by having beauty therapists with the skills and knowledge to successfully provide advanced beauty services.
Graduates will be capable of working autonomously.

Entry Requirements
Minimum requirements
New Zealand Certificate in Beauty Therapy (Level 4) (or equivalent skills and knowledge, experience and/or qualifications). Age 16 years or higher (or 15 with MOE exemption) Interest and desire to work within the Beauty Industry A positive attitude and commitment to complete the course. Spoken and written English International students must be 18 years old to enrol and have an academic score of 5.5 with no band score lower than 5. Students must disclose any previous or pending criminal convictions, accept & agree that the Academy may conduct a criminal record check via the NZ Police or the Ministry of Justice. Any student who is accepted onto the programme through "equivalence" will need to complete unit standards 6401 Provide First Aid and 6402 Basic Life Support either prior to or during the programme of study.
