What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this qualification is to provide the aeronautical engineering industry with graduates who have gained the skills and knowledge required to carry out overhauls and repairs to aircraft and/or aero-derivative gas turbine engines, along with associated systems and components. The qualification is structured to ensure that graduates cover all aspects of the repair processes for gas turbine engines.
This qualification is intended for learners who are planning to pursue a career in the aviation industry as an aeronautical engineer with specialisation in gas turbine engine overhaul.
The aeronautical engineering sector of the aviation industry will benefit through employment of staff knowledgeable and capable of working effectively to overhaul and repair gas turbine engines.
Graduates will be equipped with a comprehensive set of skills relating to gas turbine overhaul.
