What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this qualification is to provide people with the academic skills, capabilities, knowledge and attributes needed to prepare for higher level education or employment.
This qualification is for people intending to pursue further qualifications in their chosen field of study or employment pathway at New Zealand Qualifications Framework Level 5 or above.
The qualification acknowledges the primacy of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in programme design and delivery.

Entry Requirements
Minimum requirements
Academic Entry Requirements Applicants must have a minimum of NCEA Level 2 or equivalent. Applicants who have attained the age of 20 years and do not hold the minimum entry requirements will be eligible to be enrolled where their previous educational, work or life experience indicates they have a reasonable likelihood of success. Domestic Language Entry Requirements If English or Maori is not the applicant's first language, applicants will need an IELTS (General or Academic) score of 5.5 with no band score lower than 5.0, or equivalent. International English Language Entry Requirements International applicants will need an IELTS (General or Academic) score of 5.5 with no band score lower than 5.0, or equivalent.
