What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this qualification is to provide people with the academic skills, capabilities, knowledge and attributes needed to prepare for higher level education or employment.
This qualification is for people intending to pursue further qualifications in their chosen field of study or employment pathway at New Zealand Qualifications Framework Level 5 or above.
The qualification acknowledges the primacy of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in programme design and delivery.

Entry Requirements
Minimum requirements
General Open entry for Domestic students except into the Nursing pathway. All applicants entering the nursing pathway will be required to partake in literacy and numeracy testing to ensure suitability for program. Student must score 70% on each test (Literacy and numeracy). See Appendix 10 for the tests.
