Entry requirements
NZQA equivalent Level 7 teaching degree or teaching diploma and be working in an early childhood service or in an organisation that has an early childhood education-related focus. Students holding a L7 teaching diploma must also have current teacher registration and evidence of at least 3 years of professional, practical or scholarly experience of an appropriate kind. Admission is at the discretion of NZCA.

What can I expect out of this qualification?
The overall aim of the programme is to increase the quality of early childhood education (ECE) by strenthening leadership capabilities for the benefit of children and families within the ECE and wider community. The programme also aims to: Apply critical awareness to effective pedagogical and organisational leadership; Demonstrate leaderful actions that make explicit commitment to bicultural partnerships in ECE; Critique leadership praxis in the ECE sector to facilitate educational, organisational and social change that is sustainable.
