What can I expect out of this qualification?

This qualification is designed for ākonga/learners wanting to develop broad technical skills and conceptual knowledge in jewellery creative practice.

The decorative arts and related fields of creativity will benefit from graduates who can apply broad capabilities in jewellery creative practice.

Graduates will be able to operate independently in creative and commercial environments.

Minimum requirements

Admission and entry requirements for this qualification are made available to all Auditionees. An audition must be completed prior to enrolment. This is a thorough, comprehensive, free, two-day process to screen prospective learners and ensure mutual suitability before commitment is made by both parties, a factor directly contributing to the schools' excellent completion rates. A minimum of NCEA Level 1 in English, as all tuition is conducted in English, or demonstrated equivalent knowledge. Unless requested, prior training or learning achievements are not a part of nor assessed in the audition process. A recognised prior learning / current competency procedures are available. Pathway from: NZ Certificate in Jewellery & NZ Certificate of Arts & Design (Level 4) or demonstrated equivalent knowledge or skills.
