About the course

What can I expect out of this qualification?

The purpose of this qualification is to recognise individuals that have attained sufficient knowledge and operational skills required to safely operate as a distribution operator in warehousing, distribution and supply.

Businesses and communities will benefit from having qualified people, with relevant skills that contribute to improving performance and productivity in distribution organisations.

Graduates will be capable of operating at an entry level, receiving goods, preparing and recording goods for dispatch under limited supervision.

The optional strand in Mechanised Goods Handling recognises the specialised skills and knowledge required to use mechanised goods handling equipment in a distribution environment.

Minimum requirements

All applicants must: Be at least 16 years old at the time the programme commences. Have the physical strength, dexterity, balance, co-ordination and motor skills to achieve programme outcomes Have existing knowledge and skills in numeracy at a level that includes/exceeds what is required in the industry.
