About the course

What can I expect out of this qualification?

The purpose of this qualification is to provide Aotearoa New Zealand with people who have business administration and technology skills to work in a range of supervised general office administration roles.

Graduates of this qualification will be able to operate business technologies and perform a range of administrative tasks, in accordance with ngā kaupapa o te Tiriti o Waitangi (the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi), and in a multi-cultural environment.

Minimum requirements

Programme specific requirements Be a graduate of a Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) or demonstrate competence in a numeracy and literacy exercise that reflects the comprehension, writing and Programme Details (run on 05/12/22) Page 1 of 3 numerical abilities for the programme. Blended mode tauira are required to pass a pre-test and the results of the pre-test must be submitted within the enrolment. Tauira need to get 14/20 multiple choice questions and 6/10 for the practical demonstration component of the pre-test. The pre-test substantiates basic computing skills tauira are required to have for the larger self-directed learning component within the programme. It is preferred that tauira have their own access and device, but this access may include the use of devices at locations other than their home such as, for example, Te Wananga o Aotearoa computer labs and public libraries.
