Entry requirements

All graduates of the qualification with the Electricity Supply strand must meet the EWRB requirements for attaining the Limited Purpose Training Certificate within 3 months of commencing a programme leading to this qualification.

About the course

What can I expect out of this qualification?

The purpose of this qualification is to provide the Electricity Supply Industry with people who have sufficient knowledge and ability to work safely in the industry at entry level.

It is a foundation certificate suitable for all entrants to the industry whether they intend to work in trades or in an administrative capacity within the generation, distribution, transmission, telecommunications or retail sectors of the Electricity Supply Industry.

It meets the Electrical Workers Registration Board (EWRB) safety tuition requirements for a trainee Limited Certificate, which is required for all higher level qualifications in the distribution and transmission sectors.
