What can I expect out of this qualification?
This qualification is intended for learners of English as an additional language who wish to develop their English language proficiency to pursue an academic pathway.
Graduates will have the language skills required to communicate independently and effectively in familiar and some less familiar situations with fluency and flexibility in academic contexts where English is the medium of instructions.
This qualification allows educational institutions to recognise the level at which the graduate can use English for academic purposes.

Minimum requirements
1.1 General Admission a) Candidates must be 16 years or older. b) Candidates must have achieved NZCEL (Foundation) (Level 1); or c) Candidates must take part in a selection interview and will be required to take a placement test to determine their current English Language level and learning goals.
