What can I expect out of this qualification?
This qualification provides the baking sector with graduates who are able to produce a range of baking products under broad guidance.
Graduates will be able to demonstrate safe work practices and significant responsibility for the production quality of a broad range of bakery products. They are also able to take responsibility for their own learning and progression.

Entry Requirements
Minimum requirements
All applicants must hold either NCEA Level 2 OR a New Zealand qualification in Level 3 Baking or Cookery. English language requirements: Applicants for whom English is not a first language must have an IELTS score of 5.5 with no band score lower than 5; or an accepted international equivalence, completed within the last two years of the time of enrolment. International applicants may be required to undertake an internal NorthTec English language placement test to confirm their current level of English proficiency. This will include writing and speaking components.
