To be admitted to these programmes, applicants must:

Hold a bachelor degree or a diploma and experience considered equivalent to a bachelor degree.
Be registered and working as a practising teacher in Years 0 - 8 in a New Zealand school.

The Graduate Diploma in Primary Mathematics Teaching is designed primarily for in-service primary school teachers. It fulfils a need for increased mathematics teaching capabilities across the primary school sector to increase the number of school students proceeding into science and technology specialisations and thinking with evidence.
